The Sloop is a carry holster that features a more presentable position for your firearm.  The Sloop would cover better with cold  weather clothing.  Otherwise, it often serves best in an open-carry manner.  The gun is secured by a tunnel loop on the back side of the holster and a belt slot to the rear.   That rear slot pulls the gun grip into the wearer's side when worn at the "3 or 4-o' clock"position. The "slot-loop" configuration gives the Sloop its name.
